These terms cover your use of Hoop Tracker ("the app", "we", "us"). They're written to describe what this specific app actually does, not as a generic template. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and why.
You must be at least 13 years old to use this app. Hoop Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly let anyone under 13 create an account or sign in.
Hoop Tracker is a basketball training and shot-tracking tool. Logging workouts, shots, drills, and personal records works fully offline with no account needed — everything stays on your device unless you choose to sign in. Signing in with Google or Apple is optional, and unlocks cloud backup and practice groups. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what's collected in each case.
The app is provided free, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases at this time. If that changes, these terms will be updated first.
Hoop Tracker is a training tool, not a coach, trainer, or medical professional. Following any drill, workout, or shooting routine suggested or logged in this app is physical activity, and physical activity carries a real risk of injury — sprains, falls, overexertion, and similar. That risk is yours, not ours.
If you have any health condition that could make exercise unsafe, talk to a doctor before starting. Use your own judgment about your court, your body, and your limits. We're not responsible for injuries that happen while you're training, with or without the app open.
Joining or creating a practice group means other people in that group can see the limited stats described in the Privacy Policy. Don't use groups, invite codes, or any part of the app to harass, impersonate, or share someone else's information without their consent. We can remove you from a group, or disable your account, if you do.
The voice dictation and AI-parsing features send what you say to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI to turn into text/structured drills, as described in the Privacy Policy. Don't use this feature to submit anything illegal, abusive, or unrelated to describing a workout.
The Hoop Tracker website shows ads served by Google AdSense; the app itself may show ads served by Google AdMob. Both are described in the Privacy Policy's Advertising section, including how to control ad personalization.
The app's design, code, name, and branding belong to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose — nothing here gives you rights to our trademarks, source code, or design beyond that.
The app is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any statistic, percentage, or streak it calculates is perfectly accurate — always use your own judgment, especially for anything training- or health-related. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied.
To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to injury during physical activity (see above), data loss, or lost time. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you've paid us for it in the past 12 months, which for nearly everyone is zero, since the app is free.
You can stop using the app any time, and delete your account as described above. We can suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms, particularly the practice-group and prohibited-use sections above.
If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be handled in the competent courts of Israel.
